Jennie Love, the single-handed mastermind behind Love n’ Fresh Flowers, is not only extremely talented with flower arranging she also grows all her flowers at her urban farm in the Roxborough section of Philadelphia.  I had the pleasure of photographing one of Jennie’s flower workshops, Mastering the Wildflower Look.  On this hot July day Jennie showed other flower designers the tricks to her trade, most of them extremely talented flower designers in their own right came from all over the country.  Jennie gave a tour of her flower field and a demonstration and then unleashed everyone with scissors and vintage tin cans for vases.  It was amazing to watch everyone going into the field and coming back with different armfuls of colors and textures, and piece them together into such artful unique centerpieces.  Jennie encouraged everyone to get creative and choose foliage and herbs to bring out the Wildflower look, my favorite was the large yellow dill blossoms that look spread across the bouquet like yellow fireworks.  You can see more images from this awesome day at the Love n’ Fresh Flower Blog, and make sure to check out her website for more information about future workshops.
